Flying From
Hungary

Okay you have 3 options...

Once we bought our ticket which i think is the cheapest and best i will notify everyone and tell the airline and flight number so everyone who wants to come together can buy it for the same flight!!

Option A:  Most conveniente (fastest-$$$$)

One-Stop Flight (Budapest → Mérida)

Fly Budapest (BUD) → Mérida (MID) with one stop (usually via Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, or Mexico City).
Total travel time is typically 15–18 hours, depending on the connection.
This is the smoothest option with fewer logistics, but usually the most expensive.

Option B:  Most Common- Our suggestion ($$)

1.) Budapest → Cancún + short connection to Mérida

Fly Budapest (BUD) → Cancún (CUN) with one stop in Europe, then take a short domestic flight (1–1.5 hours) from Cancún to Mérida.
Total travel time is around 16–20 hours, and this option often offers better pricing and more flight flexibility than flying straight into Mérida.

2.) BUD → Mexico City (MEX) + cheap domestic flight to MID

Sometimes beats Cancún pricing, especially if the MEX–MID domestic leg is on sale.

Option C:  Cheapest ($)

Budapest → Cancún + Tren Maya to Mérida

Fly BUD → Cancún (CUN), then take the Tren Maya from Cancún Airport station to Mérida Teya.
The train ride is about 3.5–4.5 hours, followed by a 25–30 minute drive into central Mérida.
This is a more adventurous option, but can save money and avoids an extra flight.

If you arrive to Merida Airport that is the most conveniente because the city center is super close
